Bill O'Reilly's Joy
60Masked Media
By now everybody has heard about the conflict between Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, and Bill O'Reilly on The View this past week. Let me start by saying that Bill O'Reilly should have chosen his words better than he did. Of course the word "extremist" should have been inserted after "Muslim", but that was still no excuse for Whoopi and Joy's reaction. Joy and Whoopi had everything on their side after O'Reilly's faux pas. One quick jab should have finished him off, as far as that particular debate was concerned anyway. Instead two of the three most influential ladies on the program picked up and left. This leads me to one conclusion, Bill O'Reilly won. I feel that if Joy and Whoopi would have just stuck around, being that Elizabeth was the only other conservative on the stage, they could have had a blast watching O'Reilly outnumbered. Instead they headed for the back in defeat with their tails tucked between their legs. I can't explain what went through Whoopi's head, but I think I may be able to shed some light on what was happening with Joy Behar.
I have watched the Joy Behar show since it's debut a little over a year ago now. Joy is as funny if not funnier than any of the late night talk show hosts combined. However, I have noticed recently an overabundance of objectiveness in her programs of late. Any conflict that arises on her show on HLN is ended with her opinion being factual. This has not been apparent over the last year. No, this bias approach on her show is very recent, and has to be a direct result of the upcoming elections in November. She labels the GOP candidates as "nutcases", "whackjobs", and "bullies". While in the meantime nothing negative is said about the Democratic candidates. I find it interesting how Christine O'Donnell (R) not believing in evolution is a bigger deal than Virginia candidate Krystal Ball (D) having revealing photos on the internet. While Christine O'Donnell is labeled as "nutty" by Joy Behar, Krystal Ball is treated by Joy as if all this only happened to her because she is a woman candidate, and we should vote for her because she is misrepresented. I'm sorry was that her in the photos? Even Ball herself will admit yes so I don't see how she is being represented as anything other than herself.
I think what happened on The View with Bill O'Reilly was Joy Behar getting a taste of her own medicine. While on her show she barely gives her conservative guests like author S.E. Cupp the time to finish a sentence, or edits clips of debates to make GOP candidates sound as evil as possible. The View is however a little different. The nationally televised daytime talk show is slightly more conservative in it's approach to its guests. Joy may not necessarily be able to cut off, downgrade, or edit her guest. It makes sense to me that the frustration of not being the head honcho, or having the last say was too much for her to handle. The funny thing is she could have easily had the last word if she was present.
This is not a Joy Behar bashing session by any means. This is an observation that I have only recently made, and I am still a religious viewer of her HLN program. A lot of talk about the bias broadcasting of the Fox News Network has been circulating for years, but many Americans fail to see the hidden messages in every single media outlet. While it is true that Fox News is objective in its approach, the same goes for every other network, and the American people have to pay attention to them all to even begin to understand what is going on in Washington.

Do we American's speak of the "Radical Southerners" who kept African's in bondage?
What about those "Radical Colonists" that sttod against the leading empire of their day?
Wait--they aren't members of conservative 'outgroups'; like what Muslims, etc are.
As for the bias of FOX, Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting will give you all you need to know.
Political correctness is proving to be a failure.I guess you are one of 5 people who watch Behar. However I do salute your objectivity.
Great stuff. I write about Bill's Word of the Day. Feel free to check 'em out. Voted you up and will be following you.

When you speak of history do you say the RADICAL Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor? or do you say the Japanese? Do you say RADICAL indians attacked farmers and wagon trains? or do you say INDIANS? ...........15000 plus attacks by Muslims over the past 20 years and you think we should classify them? ..........Maybe when the supposed peace loving ones step up to the denounce the radicals we might speak of it!
